It is our pleasure to assist our customers whenever we can. Therefore this document displays the terms and conditions of our service. If, however, you have further questions, please contact us and we will clarify any issue. Note that the terms “we”, “us”, “our” refer to Transylvania Surgery Travel LTD and “you/your” refer to website visitors and customers.
Transylvania Surgery Travel LTD is responsible only for the services that are consistent with its activity domain, such as booking process, customer assistance, transfers and other services it directly provides. As such, it cannot be held liable for the quality of provision of services offered by its partners, including airlines, hotels and clinics. For all these services for which Transylvania Surgery Travel LTD is only an intermediary, you will enter into separate contracts with the respective service providers. Moreover, in any event we will not be held accountable for damages, losses or unsatisfactory services that are a result of inaccurate data provided by customers.
Medical Data & Consent Forms
For every treatment customers are required to complete a form with necessary medical data in order for the clinics to give accurate treatment information as well as to provide an estimate of the cost. For the consent forms, we will explain the treatment, aftercare and any potential risks carefully in order for you to sign the consent form fully informed. Please provide accurate medical information, including medical history and a list of medication. In addition, should these details change, it is your responsibility to notify us and update the information with current data.
Booking process and price estimates
The full price of the package will be provided in a written form for your review. Deposits are necessary to cover initial costs such as travel arrangements as well as any medical devices that need to be ordered for the medical procedures. Furthermore, deposits act as a booking confirmation from your part. The amount of the deposit will be clearly written and presented to you. The deposit will be then subtracted from the total package price. We accept Visa, Master Card and PayPal. We do not accept checks. Upon giving us your consent to book the package and providing us with your credit card details you are authorizing us to make the booking and (deposit) payment arrangements with the necessary service providers: clinics, airlines, hotels, etc.
Please note that airline tickets are subjected to possible post-purchase price increases as a result of additional costs caused by airline suppliers or governments. As such, we may need to request you a higher price ONLY to offset changes in airport fees, fuel prices (applicable only for plane travel) and currency exchange. According to the Romanian tourism law, these changes need to be presented to you at least 15 days prior to the departure and can amount to a maximum of 10% of the package price.
Our cancellation policy is dependent upon the policies of the clinics we work with. However, cancellation is usually possible if made within a reasonable time-span before the appointment (usually 14 days). Please note that deposits for medical devices are in the majority of cases non-refundable, primarily due to their customization to your medical condition and thus the impossibility of using them for other patients. The cancellation of plane tickets and other travel arrangements are subject to the policies of the respective airlines, hotels, etc. The exact conditions for cancellation in your case will be presented in written form prior to booking.
Changing the Booking
If you need to change the travel dates or want to modify any other aspects of your reservation, such as hotels, tours, etc, please note that this request is subjected to the policies of the respective service providers. We offer to contact them and to try to arrange the matter, however a small standard fee will be required.
It is your responsibility to ensure that all the information on the travel documents is correct and to notify us of any errors as soon as possible. In addition, please familiarize yourself with the accepted luggage size, weight and content permitted by the airline you fly with. To make this easier, we will also present you with written information regarding these details. Moreover, you should be aware of all the legal requirements for traveling to Romania. As Romania is a member of the European Union, citizens from within the EU can travel solely with a valid ID card. In case of any questions, please contact us or your local travel advisory. Lastly, we recommend that you take out adequate travel insurance before your trip.

We at Transylvania Surgery Travel LTD are striving to offer the best customer service and thus we take complaints and recommendations very seriously. Complaints can be sent via our e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org or by using the contact form. Every complaint will be acknowledged as soon as possible and we aim to get back to you with a response within 48 hours. Please note that we can only resolve complaints that are within the realm of our direct provision of services (booking, customer assistance, transfers, etc), although we can always help you forward a complaint to the clinics, airlines, hotels and other partners we work with, if necessary.
This agreement shall be governed by the laws applicable in Romania. We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions and we will notify you of such changes provided we have sufficient contact details. By continuing to use this website, you agree to our terms and conditions.
